The IBM SOA Business Partner Community is Team SOA for IBM, it was announced in June 2005 as an initiative to help our Business Partners, ISVs, and systems integrators successfully implement service oriented architectures (SOA). Through PartnerWorld Industry Networks a comprehensive collection of tools and resources are designed to help partners conceive and expertly execute on SOA.
The IBM SOA Business Partner Community has grown and matured since it was announced in June. Since June, the number of Partners working with us on SOA has more than doubled and benefits have been extended to enable and drive demand:
- Personalized SOA enablement planning and technical support via IBM's award winning knowledge and enablement portal, the Virtual Innovation Center
- Support for demand generation through access to IBM SOA advertising templates, discounts and incentives; and ready-to-use program that helps Business Partners run their own SOA demand generation events
- Sales education in the use of the SOA Business Value Toolkit which identifies the business return of an SOA project based on industry models
IBM's SOA ecosystem allows Business Partners to deliver greater value to their customers and meet customer needs through IBM software, collective experience, resources and expertise - from across IBM.
